Job Description:
The primary objective of the Presales Director DACH is tomanage the Presales operations and Presales team to support DACH revenuetargets achievement, as well as maintaining a high customer satisfaction leveland strong motivation of employees. As a key member of the DACH management team, the Presales Director DACHpersonally contributes to achieving Workday DACH main missions and objectives,such as deal support, demand management, yearly planning, presalesenablement, etc. The Presales Director DACH personally ensures the"One Team" objectives, establishing a strong collaboration andpartnership attitude from the Presales team with the Sales organisation as wellas other local and EMEA teams.
Responsibilities:
Vision and goal setting: Set the organization vision andgoals for the DACH Presales team ensuring alignment with Marketing, ValueManagement, Sales, and other key functions.
Planning:Contributes to DACH GTM plan and develops a Presales plan (resources, skills, processes,etc) aligned with budget and productivity objectives
Deal support: Develop an organization focused onPresales best practices around business value-based selling and innovations;customer understanding; simplified and relevant demonstration capabilities;themes, messaging and storytelling; develop strong deal leadership throughsolution captaining and competitive intelligence. Personally invest in keyopportunities for the market unit and contributes to strategy and execution,and customer facing activities. Ensure the same involvement in some keyopportunities from presales managers. Proactively manage and solve salesescalations on resource or support quality issues.
Profitablerevenue growth: Continually drive proactive management of resources and coststo maximize quality of support and win rate while minimizing investment inopportunities
PersonnelManagement: Be a role model in people management: develop trust and motivationof presales team; ensure fair treatment of employees and continuous fact-basedperformance feedback is provided by presales management to direct reports, aswell as regular and open communication; strive to retain, reward and developour best talent; develop all presales resources to best support business needs;continually attract new talent in support of our vision/goals, act quickly inaddressing under performance situations; ensure excellence in all peoplerelated processes (objectives setting, performance and talent reviews andfeedback, personnel development, bonus and salary increases decisions…)
Solutionand industry excellence: Foster an environment of collaboration and developmentspecific to solution and industry knowledge within DACH. Proactivelycollaborate to share best practices and knowledge
DemandManagement: Ensure Presales active participation in the execution of DMplanning and activities to increase quality pipeline generation and maturation
